Description

Electrification is reshaping the automotive industry. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) are emerging as the most promising solution for achieving emission-free mobility in the near future, while market demands continue to push propulsion systems toward ever higher rotational speeds.

At the same time, electric motors are playing an increasingly central role in vehicle development and production. Despite significant progress in recent years, the technological potential of e drive systems is still not completely exploited. This growing diversity of e motor designs and performance requirements calls for highly adaptable and scalable test solutions. Modular e motor test bench concepts are therefore becoming essential to efficiently support development, validation, and production testing.

In this webinar, HORIBA will provide insight into current challenges and future trends in e motor test bed technology. We will demonstrate how modular test system architecture enables rapid adaptation to changing test requirements and support long-term strategic component development. In addition, we will highlight how flexible integration of test bench components can significantly reduce installation effort while improving measurement accuracy and data quality. HORIBA will also cover advanced testing capabilities, including battery simulation using state-of-the-art source sink technology in combination with e motor test equipment and, finally emphasize on reliable high-speed testing up to 30,000 rpm, addressing key aspects such as system stability and low vibration levels.
