Description
Chemical absorption using amine-based solvents is a well-established route for capturing CO₂, but operating a CCUS plant efficiently and reliably presents a number of analytical challenges. Emissions compliance, CO₂ capture efficiency, and product quality must be managed alongside energy consumption, environmental aspects and steam demand.
This webinar will examine key analytical challenges in CCUS chemical absorption and demonstrate how HORIBA technologies can provide critical process data. HORIBA ENDA-7000 enables continuous monitoring of relevant emissions, while HORIBA PLGA provides trace gas impurity detection in highly concentrated CO₂ streams. HORIBA Process Raman enables real-time monitoring of amine concentration and solvent condition, supporting improved control of the absorption/ desorption process.
The analytical data, together with plant operating parameters, can be integrated into HORIBA's STARS Automation System. This provides a basis for coordinating process variables and optimizing operating conditions across the capture plant. By balancing a variety of parameters and processes, the system can support reduced energy penalties and increased efficiency while maintaining stable operation in accordance to local regulations.
Join HORIBA to explore how integrated process analytics and automation can enable more informed, data-driven control of CCUS chemical absorption processes.
